His zeal for completing the project as fast as possible is explained by his having lost a large percentage of his crew to sharks when his ship was sunk by the Japanese. Against the advice of the others on the project, Staves demands that the new repellent be tested on a live subject surrounded by hungry sharks and will allow no one but himself to be the test subject!

Victor Mature spends more time drinking beer than fighting sharks.
Victor Mature spends more time drinking beer than fighting sharks in this shamefully bad film about a U.S. military shark-fighting operation in Cuba. It looks like it was shot with only camera (which has a hard time staying in focus). The film was probably just an excuse to take a vacation in Cuba.

AMAV - Entertainment Throughout
To start with, I do not know the language Telugu, and I watched this movie without subtitles. This is the only Telugu movie I have watched. However, I enjoyed A.M.A.V, because comedy was based on acting and English was used mostly to create a software company environment. First Half is hilarious to say the least. Airplane Scene is brilliant. Second half is a mixture of comedy and drama. Venkatesh and "Colors" Swathi scenes are awesome.
Venkatesh, Trisha are excellent in the lead role, well supported by Kota Srinivas Rao, Vishwanath and "Colors" Swathi. Director Selvaraghavan handles Srikanth's role carefully, does not give enough evidence of Srikanth's love for Trisha and just concentrates on the two main characters. Yuvan's Music is superb. The lyrics of the songs are really good (a friend explained the meaning). The camera work wonderful, especially in the first song.
Great entertainment. Must Watch movie for all. Language is not at all a barrier.

Arjun is a young man who will always defend his family, even at the risk of his own life. Mahesh Rocks!!
The best Intro Scene of Mahesh history!!
Mahesh Babu is extraordinary as the caring brother. He is very stylish and charming, yet looks down-to-earth with boy-next-door demeanor. Mahesh is extremely good in emotional scenes involving sister. Mahesh Babu characterization is done in such a way that though there are enough mass elements in the film, the class presentation of Mahesh is intact.
Coming to story..
Arjun (Mahesh Babu) and Meenakshi (Keerthi Reddy) are twins. Arjun and Meenakshi complete their graduation. Meenakshi and Uday(Raja) who study in the same class fall in love and they do not express it when they leave the college. Raja's marriage gets fixed by his Madhurai based parents Bala Nayagar (Prakash Raj) and Andal (Saritha). Raja sends an invitation card along with a letter expressing his love to Meenakshi and she expresses her feelings to Arjun. He goes to Madhurai along with his parents and gets Uday and Meenakshi married to each other. Bala and Andal are cold-blooded murderers and they are not happy with this. Arjun foils all the attempts by Bala and Andal to get rid of Meenakshi from the life of Raja. The rest of the story of the film is about how he exposes the evil nature of the in-laws.
