Untitled composition 1 is a poetic and surreal study of identity, human relations and self analytical on the very subject of cinema and theatre itself as an art form. This is an experiment in minimalism rather than an attempt to entertain. Two members of a disillusioned generation, a man and a woman, get together one dark November night to discuss life, love, sex, politics and almost everything in between. At first she is the more talkative of the pair. Using his silence and reluctance to reveal anything about himself, he gradually manipulates her into taking part of his darker agenda. At first their conversation is innocent. But as they start revealing their true personality to each other and themselves, and decide to play Russian roulette with a loaded revolver, they begin a journey that will change their lives forever.

Review :
One of the most original and bravest recent films
This is not a film for everybody. It is a film driven entirely by conversation, so if you like action, better see something else. But if you can appreciate a raw, stripped bare, back to basics approach to film-making you're going to love this. True, there's not a lot happening, but that is the true strength of this film as the simplicity and especially the use of close-up shots of the actors make you pay extra attention to the subjects and themes of the dialogue. Which is fantastic, in less than an hour the conversation has covered many different and important subjects, and the dialogue is almost floating from one thought to the next like an epic poem. This is a multi-layered film that can be seen more than once and reveal different ideas and thoughts every time. Though the budget for this film must have been minimal, there is no way a major studio would ever have touched this, that's why I thank God for independent film. Because this is independent film-making at it's very core and it's very best.
